Bonnie Mae Jordan, 82, of Thurman, Ohio passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at her residence. Bonnie was born on June 23, 1936 in Floyd County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Henry and Fannie (Bevins) Burchett. She was a homemaker and operated a day-care center for thirty plus years.

She had attended Trinity Baptist Church. Bonnie loved gardening, singing, and cooking for anyone who needed a meal. She is survived by her husband Seaford Marlin Jordan, whom she married… Read More » on April 29, 1961 in Gallipolis, Ohio.

He survives along with a daughter Valerie (Bob) Merry of Gallipolis; two sons Preston (Kim) Jordan of Bidwell and Brett (Holly) Jordan of Xenia, Ohio; six grandchildren, Bridget (Zach) Waite, Erin (Brandon) Montgomery, Jordan Merry, Kyle (Emily) Jordan, Kaylee Merry, and Abby Jordan; three great grandchildren who were the light of her life, Ellie and Sadie Montgomery and Hannah Waite; seven sisters, Madeline Waugh, June Osborne, JoAnne Chavis, Rose Hill, Geraldine “Pat” Rees, Jean (Pete) Spencer, and Janet Silvers; one brother, Bill Burchett; and several nieces and nephews survive. Bonnie was preceded in death by four sisters, Edle Brook Burchett, Gladys Spencer, Emma Lou Scalf, and Sylvia Muriel Watts. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Instead of flowers, her family requests donations be made to Gallia County Snack Pack, P.O. Box 169, Gallipolis, OH 45631. Willis Funeral Home is in care of Bonnie’s arrangements.
