Jon M. Lynch, 77, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Holzer Medical Center. Born August 30, 1941 in Cedarville, West Virginia, Jon was the son of the late Edward Herman and Monna Beckett Lynch, Sr He was a retired Union Ironworker, Local #787, Parkersburg, West Virginia.

He attended church at the World Outreach Ministries in Jackson, Ohio. Jon was married to Gaynelle Tope on August 23, 1964 in Rio Grande, Ohio and she survives him, along with their children, daughters, Beth Craddock and Susan Stephenson (Dave Wine) both of Gallipolis; a son Michael (Tina) Lynch of Gallipolis; eight grandchildren, Elisabeth Gardner, Tyler Mullen, Zharrel Lynch, Shey Lynch, Rhiannon Lynch, Colton Stephenson, Baylie Stephenson, and Colin Wine; four great grandchildren, Isaiah, Tripp, and Aaryla Gardner, and Levi Burnes, a sister-in-law, Carole Lynch of Alexandria, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Jon was preceded in death by his parents; three grandsons, Jordan Mullen, Dalton Stephenson, and Edward Craddock; and two brothers, Edward Herman Lynch, Jr. and William Lynch.

The funeral for Jon M. Lynch will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating. Burial will follow in Tyn Rhos Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Willis Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. There will military rites given at the graveside by the Gallia County Funeral Detail.
