Brenda Dawson Richey passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Donald and Fannie Dawson; sisters, Rosa White and Sherry Grissom; brother-in-law, Jack “Buddy” Coons. She is survived by her daughter, Tonya McMillen (Eric); sons, Anthony Richey (Chasity), and Christopher Moore (Jennifer); grandchildren, Eric Tyler McMillen (Kayla), Joey McMillen (Casey), Brooke Richey, Grace McMillen, Gavin Moore, Elijah Richey, Paris Moore, Bella Richey; great grandkids, Houston McMillen, Kayzleigh McMillen, Jaxton McMillen, and Emersyn McMillen.

She is also survived by her sister’s, Annie Coons and Donna Dawson; brother, Donald Dawson (Tammy) and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Brenda was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister to all of her family. Brenda touched many lives during her time on Earth and those that knew her were blessed to have become lifelong friends.

She will be missed by her family but her journey has ended and her time has passed as we all know she is in a better place now looking down on all of us. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Dr. Ridgeway, Dr. Sayed, and Keller Hospice for their compassion and care thru a difficult time. Please join us in celebrating Brenda’s life Thursday, February 21, 2019.

Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with the service to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery, Leighton. Pallbearers will be Donnie Coons, Eric T. McMillen, Joey McMillen, Tyler Grissom, Marlos Richey, and Eric McMillen. Honorary will be Gavin Moore, Elijah Richey, Brian Hodges, and Jason Grissom.

Colbert Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
