“Precious Jesus…” Mr. Brion “Trent” Miller, 89, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019. He was born May 22, 1929 in Ashe County, to the late Daniel Miller and Janie Brown Miller. Trent was a faithful member of Woodland Baptist Church and the Ambassador’s Sunday School Class for 63 years where he was saved December 4, 1956.

He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and golfer. Mr. Miller retired from Pilot Freight Lines in 1989 with 30 years of service before finishing his career at Harris Teeter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Ann Miller; two grandsons, Aaron Williams and Jonathan Harmon; one sister; and five brothers.

Trent is survived by three daughters: Judy Doub (Gary), Vicky Williams (Thyra), and Beth Raines (Steve); two sons, Allen Miller and Brion D. Miller (Jackie); eight grandchildren: Kevin (Jessica), Wesley (Andrea), Jeremy, Allison (Daniel), Amanda, Jeffrey, Jacob, and Lexus; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Pruitt and Willa Hilton (Jimmy); and brother, Hobert Miller. A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 22 at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Gammons and Bro.

Don Walker officiating. Entombment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
