Ms. Shelby Jean McNeil Scott passed these earthly chains on May 11, 2019. She was a loving friend, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was born February 17, 1941 in Floyd County, VA to the late Paul McNeil, and Alma Delores Mackey McNeil.

Shelby worked for Jeanette Uniforms for about six years before having her two children, and going back to work and retiring from Bennett Uniforms in 2003. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ann Huff, and her ex-husband, Wayne, with whom she remained very close. Surviving are; her loving sons; Richard Wayne Scott Jr. and his wife, Tonya L. Miller Scott, and Randall Houston Scott, two brothers; Marshal McNeil and his wife Joann, and Kevin McNeil, one sister, Pat Weddle and her husband Gene, four grandchildren, Hannah Jean Scott, Michael Christian Scott, Ian Patrick Scott, and Adam Elijah Scott, one great grandson, Elijah Gregory White, all of whom she doted on every chance she got, and many special nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 17, 2019 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Scott family.
