Obituary for Brone Chlamauskas (Balciunas) KENNEBUNK Brone Chlamauskas, 93, of Kennebunk, died peacefully at her residence Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Brone was born March 7, 1925 in her native Lithuania, a daughter of Kazys and Darata Andrulis Balciunas, and attended schools there. Immigrating to the United States in 1947 to escape Russian persecution, she settled in Kennebunk to start her new life.

She received her GED from Kennebunk Schools. Brone was a well-loved cook at the Franciscan Monastery in Kennebunk, was known for her wonderful food, which she prepared for over 40 years. She is predeceased by her husband Walter Chlamauskas in 1974 and an infant son, Gonvaldas Chlamauskas, when they resided in Germany.

Survivors include her son Raymond (Raimundas) Chlamauskas and his fiancé Becky Theobault of Arundel. A spring graveside service will be held in early May and announced by Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St. Kennebunk. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kennebunk.
