OBITUARY Bruce E. Niemeyer September 20, 1948 – July 14, 2018 Bruce E. Niemeyer, 69, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018. He was born to the late Robert and Eileen (Liebenguth) Niemeyer on September 20, 1948 in Fort Wayne, IN. He worked at the K Mart Distribution Center for 25 years as a programmer, St. John’s Lutheran Church as a custodian, and a driver for Fort Wayne Diesel.

Bruce was most happy when spending time with family, friends and his dogs; Truman and Frizzle. He enjoyed the lake life to its fullest, watching his grandkids at their athletic events and going out west to snow ski. Bruce is survived by his wife, Pam (Waikel) Niemeyer; daughter, Shannon (Place) Bergdoll and her husband, Matt; grandchildren, Paxton and Sierra Bergdoll; sister, Maryann Twidale and her husband Bill; sister-in-law, Joyce Niemeyer; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Niemeyer. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Fort Wayne Turners (3636 Parnell Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805) with a memorial visitation one hour prior. Memorial contributions may be made to Fort Wayne SPCA and the Fort Wayne Humane Shelter.
