OBITUARY Thelma Lorene Gillenwater January 4, 1929 – July 12, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Thelma Lorene Gillenwater of Fort Wayne, passed away July 12, 2018 at the age of 89. She was born January 4, 1929 to the late Everett and Rosella Harvey. On June 28, 1947, she married Walter Wayne Gillenwater, who preceded her in death in 1995.

She is survived by her loving sons, Doug (April) Gillenwater and Mark (Jackie) Gillenwater, both of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren, Shelly (Steve) Bower, Tracy (Kevin) Brown, Brent (Nikki) Gillenwater, Andria Deck, Bethany Gillenwater, Brandon (Melissa) Gillenwater, Chad (Leslie) Gillenwater, Ashley (Kellen) Dooley, Haley Gillenwater, Kyley (Ethan) Schorey; 17 great-grandchildren, Kyle (Brittni), McKenzie, Allison, Eric, Rayce, Kadi, Jack, Max, Noel, Lucas, Logan, Shelby, Sunny, Sadie, Aydan, Greyson, and Laryn; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Paisley and Everett. Her sister and best friend, Rhea Tinker, also survives her. She was preceded in death by two sons Walter Everett (Butch) in 2005 and David Wayne in 2014, and two brothers, Richard Harvey and Robert Harvey.

Visitation will be Monday, July 16, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood, 4017 Maplecrest Rd. , Fort Wayne, IN 46815. Funeral Service will also be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 1pm with calling 1 hour prior.

Burial will take place in Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials in Thelma’s name can be made to Riley’s Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
