OBITUARY Rose Ann M. (Troolin) Nickel October 3, 1925 – July 14, 2018 Rose Ann M. (Troolin) Nickel, 92, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Kingston Residence in Fort Wayne. Born in Stanchfield, MN, Rose Ann worked as a librarian with Fort Wayne Bible College for 33 years, retiring in 1995. Ted and Rose Ann had also worked in Christian high schools in Elbing, Meade, and Hutchinson, Kansas.

She was a loving and devoted homemaker. She was a member of First Missionary Church and Association of Christian Librarians. Rose Ann was a former Deaconess at First Missionary Church and former Children’s Church Worker for 20 years.

She was a member of Christian Business & Professional Women and was a Child Evangelism Fellowship Teacher for 20 years. She was a woman of strong faith. She loved her family and friends and had a caring and positive personality.

She will be greatly missed. Surviving are her children, Janet E. Nickel of Freetown, Sierra Leone West Africa, David B. (Rebecca) Nickel of Indianapolis, IN and Gordon D. (Ann Marie) Nickel of Lake Orion, MI; grandchildren, Austin Nickel, Emma Nickel, Rebecca (Patrick) Cooke, Christina Nickel and Landon Nickel; and sister, Ruth Carlson of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Skokie, IL. Rose Ann was preceded in death by husband, Theodore D. Nickel; father, Andrew G. Troolin; mother, Annie Troolin; brother, Donald Troolin; sisters, Gladys Pearson, Margaret Peterson, Marilyn Johnson, and Gloria Gimse.

Service is 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at First Missionary Church, 701 W Rudisill Blvd with an hour of calling prior to the service. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue, Friday, August 10, 2018, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Private burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
