Mary Joan Schott, age 85, died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at her residence in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Schott was born June 14, 1933 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Leo Nicholas Herber and Geraldine Lucille (Ryan) Herber. She married Raymond Joseph Schott on August 26, 1961 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Fort Wayne.

She was employed with Lincoln National Life Insurance Company in Fort Wayne as a private secretary before retiring in 1997. Survivors include: Husband, Raymond Schott of Fort Wayne. Son, Mark and Kathy Schott of Fort Wayne.

Daughter, Mary Ann Schott of Raleigh, North Carolina. Four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One brother, Gerald Herber, preceded her in death.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 518 Dewald Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana with viewing one hour prior to the funeral mass. Fr. Tyrell Alles will officiate the funeral mass.

Burial will take place at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
