Bruce ton, 73, of Whitesburg passed away Monday December 17, 2018 at the Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Bruce was the son of the late Edward and Esta Mi Collins ton. He was a retired school teacher at Whitesburg High School having taught History and English for 30 years.

He was a founding member of the Sandlick Fire Department and a member of the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife: Karen Marie Whitaker ton; 2 Daughters: Krisi Monique ton of Lexington; Medessa Lynette (Doug) Burian of Laurel Maryland; 4 Brothers: Buddy Dean ton of Whitesburg; Albert ton of Whitesburg; Marvin ton of Louisville and Jackie Lee ton of Isom; 1 Sister: Tishia Mae Collins of Whitesburg; 3 Grandchildren: Ella Noel Burian, Swazey Enochs ton, Gabrielle Elizabeth Burian. Bruce was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Bennett ton; 5 Sisters: Violet Benton; Barbara Adams; Josie Collins; Hazel Lois ton; Susie Eddie ton.

Funeral 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church with Jerry Utt officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church.
