OBITUARY Bruce M Taber July 22, 1924 – September 23, 2018 Bruce M. Taber, 94, of Kokomo, passed away at 9:54 PM Sunday September 23, 2018 at Community Howard Regional Health, Kokomo. Born July 23, 1924 in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of the late Bruce M. Taber Sr and Nora Ellen (Lessig) Taber. Bruce was a 1942 graduate of Kokomo High School.

He was a veteran serving in the United States Army in World War II. On September 30, 1944 in Kokomo, he married Kathleen L. Wright. She preceded him in death on December 9, 2011.

He was employed with Kokomo Ready Mix (known as IMI now) for 27 years as a mechanic. He was a member of the Teamsters Union #543 and #135, VFW Post #1152, and attended Center Road Church of Christ. Survivors include one son Steven B. (Patsy Rowe) Taber of Monticello; one daughter Renada (Michael) Kelley of Fort Wayne; two grandsons Kyle Kelley of Fort Wayne and Brent Taber of Florida; three step-grandsons Chris (Cindy) Kelley of Huntington, Mike Harmon of Lafayette and Rick Harmon of Scottsdale, Arizona; and a great grandson Nathan Mosley of Logansport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter-in-law Sharon Taber, one granddaughter Amber Garland; also three sisters. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday September 27, 2018 at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana. Brian Wright will officiate.

Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the VFW Post #1152.
