Burl E. “Sonny” Burdette, 71, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018. He was born June 18, 1947 in Spencer, West Virginia and was a life resident of Norton. Sonny retired as owner/operator of Burdette Trucking.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ferd and Ella Burdette; grandson, Cody; sisters, Charlotte North and Kay Hubbard; along with brother, Freddie Burdette. Sonny is survived by his wife of 51 years, Beverly; sons, Jack (Jackie) and Sonny (Deanna); grandchildren, Tiara, Travis and Sarah; sisters, Linda Sue Burdette and Marie (Donnie) Bauer; along with other relatives and many friends. The family would like to thank the staffs at Cooper Cancer Center and Summa 7 East for all the care Sonny received.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 12th at 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave. , Barberton 44203 with Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Sonny’s family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and also Thursday 10 a.m. until time of service.
