NORTON—Velma Violet Carr, 86, passed away September 10, 2018 at Summa Barberton Hospital. Violet was born in North Carolina and had been a Norton resident most of her life and retired from the Barberton City Schools Graphic Arts/Audio Visual Dept. after 25 years.

Violet loved reading and gardening. Preceded in death by her brother William Lanning; She is survived by her daughters Brenda (Robert) Jarvis, Donna (Dave) Jacobs and Leeann Renee Madal; grandchildren Robert (Elizabeth) Weidman, Nathan (Sylvia) Weidman, Autumn (Steve) Martin, April Maile, Mike Maile, Cody Fletcher, Stacey (Andrew) Spice and Shannon and Sarah Pasternak; and sister Arbutus Giavasis. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd West, Barberton.

Funeral Service to follow at 7 p.m. Rev. Rod Grabski officiating. Private interment at Western Star Cemetery.
