Rita M. Sturtz, 94, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018. A resident of Barberton for 16 years, formerly a resident of Zanesville. Rita was past president of Zanesville Garden Club, she enjoyed doing ceramics and was a lover of animals, especially her dogs, “Snort” and “Missi”.

Preceded in death by her parents Clemons and Rosabelle Durant; husband of 52 years, Jess; infant son, Roger Eugene; sister, Mary Nichols; brothers, Jimmy, Edward and Donald Durant. Rita is survived by her sister, Eleanor Kleibscheidel; special nieces, Kris and Kaitlyn Jones; along with many other nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Wadsworth Pointe and Compassionate Care Hospice for all the care Rita received.

Funeral service will be held Friday, October 26th at 7 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave. , Barberton 44203. Rita’s family will receive friends from 5 p.m. till time of service.

Burial at Williams Cemetery in Zanesville, Ohio.
