BARBERTON—Barbara J. Zimmer, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2018. Barbara was born in Barberton where she was a graduate of Barberton High School. She worked as a Legal Secretary and retired from the Akron Public School System as an Administrative Assistant.

She also volunteered for many years at Summa Barberton Hospital. Preceded in death by her husband Joseph; and parents Steve and Mary Weiman; she is survived by her sons Mark (Elizabeth) of Wadsworth and Patrick of Barberton; sister Rosemary DiFrangia; her beloved dog Chloe; special friends Robin and Kevin Horvath; and longtime childhood friend Mary Ann (Bob) Andreyka. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 11 am to 12 pm at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME.

Graveside Services immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery. Fr. Robert Jackson officiating.
