Burtis Hoell, 77, of Kinston passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Daniel Hoell and Annie Wilson; wife, Helen Hinson Hoell; two sisters, and one brother. Burtis was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

He enjoyed helping others, fishing, tinkering on lawn mowers, and he always had a warm smile. Burtis is survived by his daughter, Mary Helen Price and husband Danny of Mount Olive; son, Burtis Hoell, Jr. and fiancé Marklyn Heath of Kinston; grandchild, Ozzie Price, and sister, Liz Hearn and husband Guy of Holly Springs. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Richard Parker officiating.
