Obituary for Byron E. Hummon, Jr. Byron Eugene Hummon, Jr., 82, of Medicine Lodge, KS, died Monday, December 10, 2018 at Wesley Woodlawn Hospital, Wichita, KS. He was born on August 8, 1936 in Raytown, MO, the son of Byron Eugene Hummon, Sr. and Laura Jean (Madison) Hummon. On March 7, 1987 he married Carolyn (Botkin) Hummon in Medicine Lodge, KS.

She survives. Byron was the owner of Hummon Corporation in Medicine Lodge, KS and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Medicine Lodge, KS. Surviving in addition to his wife Carolyn Hummon are two sons, Byron Hummon, III and Robert Hummon; one daughter, Julie Sumner; two step-children, Cathy Forbes and Craig Hamilton; Eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Donna Duffield.

Byron was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Kevin Hummon. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from Noon until 7:00 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Medicine Lodge, KS with Pastor Paul Stephens and Pastor Tom Walters officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, KS. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church Youth or the First Christian Church Youth in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.
