On June 23, 2018, Byron B. Simms of Columbia, Maryland, formerly of College Park, passed away at the age of 78. Devoted father of B. Christopher Simms and Aimee Reinert; beloved partner of Patty Spurlin and her son Keith O’Brien; loving brother of Penny Adams and the late Marilyn Simms; cherished grandfather of John and Abbigail Reinert. Born in New Jersey, Byron proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy.

After graduating with a degree in engineering, Byron started his own company Triton Engineering. He was known for his generosity and enjoyed taking his friends and family out to dinner. A graveside service will take place at Egg Harbor City Cemetery in New Jersey at a later date.
