Palmer- C. Alan Slaney, 80, passed away June 17, 2018. Alan was born December 24, 1937 in Brockton, MA to the late Elmer M. and Jessie M. (Cornwell) Slaney and has been a resident of Palmer for many years. Alan was an Army Veteran.

He retired as maintenance superintendent from First Realty Management. He was a member of the Second Congregational Church in Palmer as well as the Palmer Lion’s Club and the Nenameseck Sportsmen’s Club. Alan leaves his wife of 34 years, Christine E. (Wilder) Slaney; step-daughter, Kara Levinson of Palmer; his sons Timothy A. Slaney of Florida and Michael Slaney of Attleboro; a daughter, Heidi Tremblay; brother, Frederick Slaney and Cathy of Alabama; sister Wilmar Freeman of Georgia, Joan Brown and Owen of Alabama, Lisa Wirth and David of Taunton; granddaughter, Christine Gloekler of Palmer.

Alan was predeceased by his infant son Kevin Slaney. A private Memorial service was held for Alan. Memorial contributions may be made to AsraZeneca Hope Lodge Center 125 South Huntington Ave Boston MA 02130 or Dana Farber Cancer Cancer Institute.
