Monson- Margaret J ( Partridge) Baxter, 82, died Monday, October 22, 2018 surrounded by love of family. Margaret was born in South Stifford, England, March 12, 1936. She traveled to the United States in 1966 with her husband, 3 children and the dog.

Margaret lived in East Longmeadow and in Monson. Margaret was a high school graduate and when she was in her 40’s attended and graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Cum Laude, with a bachelor’s degree. For many years Margaret and her husband Frederick owned and operated Baxter’s Echo Hill Orchard in Monson.

Upon retiring she loved to travel, was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. Margaret leaves her husband of 63 years, Frederick J. Baxter; their children, Nicholas M. Baxter and his wife Toni of Conway, SC, Sarah Baxter and Barry Bedward of Monson, Louise C. Fleck and her husband Michael of Loris, SC; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Jr., Amanda, Eric, Margaret, Mark and six great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 from 4-6pm at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St.in Monson.
