OBITUARY Calletana “Cathy” Garcia Esquibel August 7, 1925 – November 29, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Calletana (Cathy) Garcia Esquibel was born in Wichita Falls, TX to Felipe and Mariana (Amador) Garcia on August 7, 1925 and passed on November 29, 2018 at the age of 93. She married Louis B. Esquibel the love of her life on March 17, 1946. Cathy had many family and friends and was a long-time member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church where she was a member of the Guadalupanas.

Before and after her husband’s passing on June 25, 1994, she stayed active in the church. Her family knew her as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend; who never met a stranger. Our community lost a special treasure known as “MOM” to everyone she encountered.

She loved taking weekend trips with our dad when he would travel to San Antonio and Houston for conferences for Meals on Wheels for Community Action Center. Mom continued to travel after the passing of our dad with her daughter, Mary and son in law Jesse every fall. When she was not working or traveling, she loved watching the Huskies, Longhorns, Cowboys and Texas Rangers.

She lived a long fruitful life and we thank God for letting us have her so long. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Louis B. Esquibel, brother’s Jesse, Felipe, Vincente, Joe, and Manuel Garcia. sister, Linda Castillo, son Phillip Esquibel, grandsons Jesse Torres III, Andrew Esquibel and great granddaughter Skye Escobedo.

She is survived by daughter Mary, husband Jesse Torres Jr. son, Samuel Esquibel, wife Lori, daughter Veronica husband John Casarez, son Moses Esquibel and wife Laura, 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren. Sisters, Valenta Arrieta, Cruz Armendarez, Luz Crump, Jane Ozuna. Numerous nieces and nephews.

We want to thank all the nurses and staff at Senior HealthCare and Hospice for the wonderful care they gave MOM and ask that in leu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, TX. A Rosary service will take at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 6pm followed by a visitation until 8pm. Funeral mass will be at Sacred Heart Church on, Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 10:00am.
