Obituary of Calvin Franklin Martin Calvin Franklin Martin, 69, of Siler City died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mr. Martin was born in Chatham County on January 27, 1949 the son of Richard F. Martin and Daisy Dell Phillips. Calvin was self employed as the owner/operator of Bill’s Billiards’.

He enjoyed playing cards and trips to Atlantic City. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Linda Wilson, Patricia Brooks; brother, Donald Martin. He is survived by three daughters: Kimberly M. Johnson and husband, Joseph of Seagrove, Kay Martin of Burlington and Kelly Martin of High Point; one sister: Elaine Mowery and husband, Jack of Asheboro; grandchildren, Leona, Nicholas, Hannah, Shae, Brantley, Emora, Damyia and Kendall, aka Dynomite; great-granddaughter, Ellanie.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 7, 2019 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will follow Monday at 2:00 PM in the Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Wachs officiating.
