Obituary for Capt. James Richard Bivona USAF (Ret) Capt. James Richard Bivona, USAF (Ret), 62, of Cheyenne, died on Monday, September 10, 2018 in Cheyenne.

He was born on November 11, 1955 in Riverside, California. Jim served in the United States Marine Corps and after he was discharged, he went to college and earned his degree in electrical engineering. Jim was commissioned into the U.S. Air Force and received his master’s degree, and ultimately retired from the USAF as a Captain.

Mr. Bivona was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral. He is survived by his wife, Isabel “Lilly” Bivona of Cheyenne; children, Isabel and Alexander James “A.J.” Bivona, both of Cheyenne; his parents, Charles and Gail Bivona of Cheyenne; and his siblings, Carol Hall of Orange Park, Florida, Betty Abbott (Ken) of Cheyenne, and Charlie Bivona, Jr. of Cheyenne. Visitation will be Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at The Gathering Place, 1900 East 21st Street.

Funeral Liturgy will Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral. A college fund for his children is currently being set up, in the meantime, please send donations to Lilly. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Capt.
