Cara Fotevska, 95, of Massillon, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, March 14, 2019. Born in Podmocani, Macedonia, February 8, 1924, a daughter to the late James and Para Evans, Cara came to the United States in the early 1960’s and became an American citizen about ten years later. She worked for several years at the J.C. Penney store at Mellet/Canton Centre Mall.

A loving wife, sister and aunt, she became a second mother to her nieces and nephew. A fabulous cook and baker, she enjoyed preparing traditional old world dishes and pastries. She knew the value and purpose of hard work and kept busy even in her leisure time.

Blessed with an artistic soul, she had a talent for needlework, tatting and crocheting without patterns, just from her imagination – and often, while her conversation with you continued, the loops seemed to just flow from her hands! Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Krste Fotevski; Cara is survived by her sister, Donna Ristev, of Massillon; her nieces, Carol (George) Kondev, of North Canton, Christine (Joseph) Murgida and nephew, Daniel Ristev, all of Massillon; and her great-nieces and nephews, Anna and George Kondev and Chrissy and Michael Murgida. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Nikola Macedonian Orthodox Church in Green, by the Very Reverend Zoran Zdravev at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 16, 2019.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon. The family will receive condolences Friday evening, March 15, from 6-8:00 P.M. at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.
