Caritina Puga Lopez, 77 of Wilder, Idaho passed away Monday, June 4, 2018. Caritina was born in Panuco, Veracruz Mexico in 1941 to Juan G. and Demetria M. Puga, being the oldest of 11 children. She married the love of her life, Alejandro Lopez in 1959 and they had 4 children.

Mom was a natural care giver, she helped raise her siblings and many others. She was the kind of woman that people would gravitate towards and lean on, and she was always there with “arms wide open”. She loved her family very much.

Mom had many jobs over the years but, was especially proud of her time spent working for the JR Simplot Company and retiring from there after 23 years. She enjoyed gardening and growing beautiful flowers. Mom was probably best known for her cooking.

She made the best flour tortillas and her Tamales were second to none. Her kitchen was always open, many family and friend sat at her table to enjoy the best homemade Mexican food and conversation around. Caritina is survived by sons Joe (Joy) Lopez, Danny Lopez, grandsons Willie, Rickie, Fabian, Isaac (Shelby) Lopez, great granddaughter Peyton, Siblings Glafira, Angel, Celia, Juana, Julian, Rafael, Ricardo, Maria Elena.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alejandro of 59 years, her children Alex Jr, Natividad, brothers Carlos and Juan M. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 PM with Rosary Recited at 5:00 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Condolences may be given at www.
