Carl Michael Calloway (Mike) was born to Carl Fernley Calloway and Mary Lena Taylor on May 25, 1949 in Ohio County, Kentucky. He was the first of five sons born to the couple. Mike attended school in Hartford, Kentucky until he joined the army in 1967.

He served in Vietnam before returning home to Kentucky. Mike moved to Oregon in 1989. He worked as a utility locator in the Central Oregon area until his retirement.

Mike enjoyed fishing, camping, riding ATV’s, hanging out at the dog park with his buddies and visiting various casinos. Mike loved his family and friends. He was fiercely proud of his children and grandchildren.

If you knew Mike, you knew that he had a sense of humor unlike anyone else. He could make anyone laugh. Mike is survived by his six children, 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers and many nieces, nephews and their children.

He was preceded in death by his wife Georgia, his parents and two brothers. The family will hold Celebration of Life services in Oregon and in Kentucky at future dates.
