Carl Milton Keaton November 18, 1930 – February 15, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Carl Milton Keaton, age 88, passed from this world, to be with our Lord and Savior February 15, 2019 at 11:25pm surrounded by family. He was born November 18, 1930 in Nashville, TN. He grew up in North Nashville, there he met and loved many life long friends.

He graduated from North High School in 1949. There he met his wife Mary McClure, and married August 8, 1950. He graduated Nashville Barber College in 1952.

He and his wife moved to Joelton TN, in 1965, from Bellshire TN. He opened his “Joelton Barber Shop” in 1955. There, he loved and served his customers and community for 69 years and retired March 2017.

On October 5, 2014 he was honored with an Honorary Street named “ Keaton’s Cut Place “, located between the Anderson and Garrett funeral home and Joelton Fire Hall. He was loved by his family, friends and community. He is proceeded in death, by his parents Valter and Angie Keaton, 3 brothers Leelan, Ray and Earl, 3 sisters Velma, Kathrine and Marie, His son Micha Carl Keaton, his daughter Ginger Bowers and grandson Kenny Warren.

He is survived by his beloved wife Mary “ Peggy “ McClure Keaton, His children : Son James “Milton” Keaton (Kim), Daughters Cindy Warren, Peggy Washer (Gary), Polly Palacios (Manny), Jamie Chambliss (Nelson), and nephew Norman E. McClure (Sharon), 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. “To God be the glory “. Visitation will take place at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home on Sunday, February 17th from 2 P.M. until 6 P.M., Monday, February 18th from 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. and Tuesday, February 19th from 1 P.M. until the hour of Service at 2 P.M. with Pastor Barry Voorhies officiating.

Interment follows at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville.
