He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Odis Evelyn Driver Ellithorpe; and son Charles “Buckshot” Ellithorpe. Survivors include his children Gordon “Buddy” (Wanda) Ellithorpe, Jr., Patricia (Mike) Page, and Hope (Scott) McPhee; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will take place at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home on Friday, March 22nd from 3pm until 8pm and again on Saturday, March 23rd from 10am until the time of service at 11am. Entombment will follow at the Woodlawn Cross Mausoleum.
