Carl’s Obituary Carl O. Becht, 87, of Ocala, FL, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019. Carl was born in Newark, NJ to Charles and Hazel Becht and moved to Ocala in 1992 from Easton, PA. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

He worked as a NAII for the county of Northampton in Pennsylvania. Carl was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Ocala, and served on the board of trustees. He enjoyed antique cars and tractors, and loved being a part of the VFW Poppy Drive for the Veteran’s Home.

Carl is survived by his wife of 45 years, Maryann Becht, 2 daughters; Kris (Tony) Yocum of PA and Linda (Tim) Bozeman of ID, 7 grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to services held in Florida, a graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 1 pm in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township. Local arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, PC, Nazareth.
