Obituary for Carl Shiflett Carl William Shiflett, age 74, of 276 Pennsylvania Avenue, Rainelle, West Virginia died Friday, June 22, 2018 at Meadow Garden Nursing Home in Rainelle. He was born November 15, 1943 in Botetourt County, Virginia to the late George Hubert Shiflett and Cantie Nicely Shiflett. He worked in construction as a laborer.

He never met a stranger, and loved to play his records. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister. He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Kay of Covington; two sons, Robert W. Shiflett, and wife Andrea, and Jeffrey A. Shiflett, and wife Jacklyn, both of Covington; six grandchildren, Brandon C. Kelley, Christopher R. Haynes, Chase X. Cooper, Olivia R. Shiflett, Izayah J. Shiflett, and Julius A. Shiflett; a great granddaughter, Jennisys E. Haynes; and many close friends.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.
