Wadesboro – Mr. Carl Thomas Ratliff, 86, died Sunday, June 24, 2018, at his home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, June 27 in the Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service in the church’s Fellowship Hall.

Carl was born in Anson County on May 2, 1932, a son of the late Carl Lacy Ratliff and the late Sara Burch Ratliff. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and worked constructing electric power grid lines. Survivors include two sons, Carl Ratliff of Ft.

Myers, FL and Eddie Ratliff of Charlotte; two granddaughters, Kaylynn Ratliff and Joslynn Lily Ratliff; a brother, Bill (Betty Jean) Ratliff of Wadesboro; and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth R. Goins of Winston-Salem. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Kay West Ratliff; and a sister, Susan R. Brown.
