Wadesboro – Mr. Richard Dean Williams, 85, died Saturday, July 7, 2018, while a patient at CMC Union in Monroe, NC. Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018, at North Wadesboro Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Helms officiating.

Interment will be private. Richard was born March 6, 1933, in Cheraw, SC, a son of the late Chuck Williams and the late Lula Butler Williams. He grew up in Wadesboro and following his school years went to work at Wade Mfg.

where he was a faithful employee for over 35 years. Richard loved baseball, hunting, fishing and his grandchildren. Survivors include: two daughters, Deana W. Parker of Lilesville, and Carla W. Webb of Wadesboro; four grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Dallas Jarrell, Travis Jarrell and Teah Parker; and six great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Jeanette Howell (Curtis) of Wadesboro and Pat Allen (Charles) of Polkton. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Magdalene Maree Williams; a daughter, Donna W. Jarrell and a son-in-law, Robert Warren Webb Jr..
