POLKTON – Miss Alice Marie Pegram, 78, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Carolinas Health Care System Anson in Wadesboro. There will be a graveside service at 5:00pm Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Bennett Grove Cemetery in Polkton. The family will receive friends any time at the home and following the service on Saturday.

Alice was born March 1, 1940 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Raymond Wilson Pegram and the late Myrtle Virginia Johnson Pegram. She was retired as plant manager from Anson Shirt in Wadesboro and attended Anson Community College. Surviving are her sister, Fannie Pegram; her sisters-in-law, Alice “Pat” Pegram and Brenda Bryant; her nieces, Sandra (Bob) Steele , Beverly (Shawn) Livingston and Darlene Hunt and her nephew, Daniel (Audrey) Crowley; great-nephew and great-nieces, T.J. (Sarah) Howell, Brittany (Michael) Lancaster and Bethany Livingston.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Pegram and Sonny Pegram. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bennett Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o, Frank Harrington. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
