McBee, S.C. Mr. Carl William Blackwell, Sr. age 63 passed away March 22 at McLeod RMC. A visitation will be held Sunday 3-5 pm at Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville.

Mr. Blackwell was born in Hartsville a son of the late Horace and Christine Hall Blackwell. He was employed with Reeves Brothers in Bishopville for a number of years and retired from Roller Bearing in Hartsville. He loved to fish, hunt and visiting his neighbors on his golf cart.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Jackson Blackwell, McBee; one son, Carl William (Michelle) Blackwell, Jr. , Wedgefield, S.C.; two grandsons, Carl William Blackwell, III and Thomas Blackwell, Wedgefield; one brother, George ( Peggy) Blackwell, Hartsville; two sisters, Ruth (Don) Gainey, McBee and Sherriann Watford, Turbeville; two brother in laws, Beverly Kelley, Bishopville and Howard Nobles, Bishopville; three sister in laws, Dorothy Blackwell, McBee, Sherri Blackwell, McBee and Lynn Jackson, Bishopville. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Maude Kelley and Taphina Nobles and two brothers, Mack and Ralph Blackwell.
