Carma was born in Rupert, Idaho on June 1, 1933 to Donald W. and Ursula Snapp Gibson. She grew up in Idaho, Colorado, and Utah and graduated from South High School.

She married the love of her life, Cecil (Bud) Brown, on April 30, 1954. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. They had a wonderful and happy life together.

Carma was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. She served as a Relief Society President, Primary President, youth leader and in many callings where she positively impacted others. She had boundless energy and always seemed to work harder and accomplish more than any of the rest of us.

She focused this powerful energy on her family and lived her life filled with love and service. She exemplified her compassion in loving care for her mother. We all loved her laugh.

She took a sincere interest in everyone and had many dear friends. Her homemade chicken noodle soup was often delivered when caring for her neighbors. Carma loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping in her trailer or a drive up the canyon, especially in the fall.

She loved all her grandbabies and would light up when they came to visit. She loved to sew and knit. She made beautiful quilts.

She was also an amazing cook and kept a beautiful garden. Her homemade mints and candy were delicious. Carma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Wanda Jarvie, and brother Don Gibson.
