Carol Ann Hunt November 28, 1939 – January 1, 2019 HUNT, Carol Ann – Of Flint, age 79, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at her residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton Father Steve Anderson officiating. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation 1-8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Born: November 28, 1939 Death: January 1, 2019 Mrs. Hunt will be at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the Mass.

Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church or the Humane Society of Genesee County. Carol Ann was born in Dearborn, Michigan on November 28, 1939, the daughter of Raymond and Rose (Wiater) Cabic. She was on the Advisory Board Member of Gerontology Committee of Mott Community College and University of Michigan-Flint; Genesee County Public Health Burton Health Advisory Board; member of Case Manager Society of America & the Chapter’s Program Committee; member of Individual Case Management Association and consultant to ICMA and Aetna Case Management Practice Guidelines.

Carol Ann was also on the Board of Directors-Catholic Social Services. She received 1994 Citizen of the Year Award-Grand Blanc, 1994 Nominee for the Athena Award-Flint, Scholarship Committee-Flint Chamber of Commerce, Zonta Club of Flint 1, 96-97 President Elect, Former Treasurer, Chr. Of Scholarship and Recognition, Continuity of Care Chair Person, Member and Speaker for Michigan League for Nursing; Association of Rehabilitation Nurses; Rehabilitation Insurance Nurses Council; Think Tank Member of Michigan Home Health Association.

She was Editor-Michigan Association for Continuing Care; Program Chairman-West Flint Business Association; Advisory Board Member-Grand Blanc Twp. ; Advisory Board Member-Genesee/Lapeer Co. VAAA and Advisory Board Member-Genesee Area Skill Center and was also a member of PTSO Grand Blanc Schools. Carol Ann was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church; was a cantor, choir member and Christian service member.

She dedicated her life to God and her family first. Yet she never turned down an opportunity to make a difference, including rescuing plenty of dogs, cats, birds, or any other type of animals in need. Surviving are children, Daniel and wife Vicki Hunt, Robert and wife Sherry Hunt, Thomas and wife Cheryll Hunt and Diane Hunt; grandchildren, James Hunt, Alex Hunt, Trevor Hunt and Travis Hunt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Hunt, in 2009.
