Lorain – Carol Ann Schoonmaker (nee Kero), 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, OH. Carol was born in Detroit, MI on October 11, 1941. She graduated from Lorain High School.

Carol was a certified nurses aid working for many years at Bradley Bay Nursing Home. She enjoyed spending time working on arts and crafts, especially plastic canvas and crocheting. She is survived by her sisters, Diane (Donald) Kiger and Joanne (Joseph) Keene; granddaughter, Sarah Schoonmaker, and extended family, Cheryl Romero, Suzi Bond, and Lisa Serrano.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Rosemary (nee Van Sumer) Kero; and son, Thomas Schoonmaker. No visitation. Private burial services will be held at a later date at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
