OBITUARY Carol Ann Wright August 9, 1935 – January 31, 2019 Carol Ann Wright, 83, of Nederland passed away on Thursday January 31, 2019 at her son’s home in Jasper, TX. Carol was born on August 9, 1935 in Waskom, Texas to her parents Clyde Welch and Lou Belle Rowe Welch. After her father’s passing, she was raised by her step-father and mother, David and Lou Belle Mahaffey whom preceded her in death.

Carol was also preceded in death by her husband; Jackie L. Wright, son; Michael R. Mays, granddaughter; Shelby Williams, four brothers; Clyde Welch, Jr, James Welch, Terry Mahaffey, Dorman Mahaffey, two sisters; Nancy Mahaffey, and Alberta Mahaffey Dubois. Carol was Baptist by faith and a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church of Silsbee who used her love for the Lord by working with the Christian Care Center in Silsbee. Prior to his death, Carol loved traveling all over the United States with her husband, Jack.

Carol is survived by her son; Alan Mays and wife Lisa of Jasper, daughters; Ann Couder and husband Mike of Nederland, Janice Mays of Jasper, brother; David Mahaffey of Sulphur, sister; Nelda Fromenthal and husband Lee of Beaumont, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. A sharing of Carol’s life will be held on Sunday February 3, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A celebration of Carol’s life funeral service will be held on Monday February 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
