NORTHBRIDGE … Carol C. (George) Jessing, 80, died at home, Friday, September 28. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, David A. Jessing; three sons, David P. Jessing, and his wife, Roseann, of Northbridge, Brian J. Jessing, and his wife, Maria, of Warwick, RI, and Michael C. Jessing, of Nashville, TN. A daughter, Carol M. Jessing, of Northbridge; a sister, Dolores Matys, and her husband, Leopold, of Millbury; sisters-in-law Jeannette Doucimo, of Rochdale, and Carol George, of Millbury.

Six grandchildren, Brian D., Stephen J., David J., Alex K., Kayla C., and Matthew S.; and a great granddaughter, Lily Ciociola. She was predeceased by her brothers, Claude and Ernest George. Mrs. Jessing was born in Worcester, October 30, 1937, a daughter of Claude C. and Louise (Borek) George.

She grew up in Millbury where she graduated from Millbury High School, and moved to Northbridge 58 years ago. She was an Avon Representative for more than 50 years, and was a member of Avon’s President’s Club for much of that time. Mrs. Jessing was a member of Saint Peter’s Church in Northbridge.

She was a passionate animal lover (especially cats), and she enjoyed gardening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am, Thursday, October 4, in Saint Peter’s Church, followed by burial in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling Hours will be 5-8pm, Wednesday, October 3, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
