Carol Diane “Puddy” Raines, 75, of Remer, MN passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN. Puddy was born to Theodore and Hazel (Samuelson) Maas in St. Peter, MN on December 26, 1942. She attended school in St. Peter, MN and went on to cosmetology school but later pursued her love of cooking and took jobs at various restaurants.

On August 4, 1962, Puddy married the love of her life, Claude Raines. Claude and Carol moved to Remer and raised 5 children. Puddy enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.

Her hobbies included knitting, cake decorating and going to the casino. Puddy is survived by sons, Wade (Kerrie), Scott (Carol), Jim (Sharon) and Ted (Nancy); sister and best friend, Elaine Starks; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; special nieces, Dee Dee Anderson and Kristine Swanson; and many more nieces and nephews. Puddy was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Walter “Hubba” Maas, husband, Claude Raines, and her beautiful daughter, Kimberly Jorgenson.

Per Puddy’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mable Lake. All family and friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions will be put towards funeral expenses and the remaining will be donated to Puddy’s favorite charities.
