OBITUARY Carol Hixson December 25, 1925 – September 19, 2018 Velma Carol Hixson 92, of Overland Park, Ks passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018. Carol, who was born on Christmas Day, 1925, was the daughter of Elma and Clarence McGee of Blue Mound,Ks.

After graduating from Blue Mound High School, she was married 59 years to her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Earl Hixson. They had four children: Larry(Judy) Hixson, Kenla(Philip) Engel, Melody(Alan) Baker, and Howard Hixson: four grandchildren: and five great grandchildren. Membership in the First Baptist Church in Grandview was the center for most of her life.

She was active on many committees. Carol was artistic, a homemaker and lovingly spent many of her years being a child care provider in her house. Funeral services will be held at 1PM, Wednesday, September 26 at Floral Hills Chapel.

Burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
