Obituary for Carol Joy Robinson Carol Joy (Crosby) Robinson, 77, of Williamsburg passed away October 5, 2018 with her family by her side. Carol was born on December 22, 1940 in Esville to the late Carl Edward Donald and Jeannette Marcella (Meldrum) Crosby. On June 20, 1981 Carol married John Winston Robinson.
Carol retired after 25 years in sales for Sears in the large appliance department. She was a volunteer at Munson Medical Center and enjoyed helping people. She was very proud of her children and enjoyed bowling, golfing and gardening.
Carol loved the water, especially fishing and swimming. In 1958 she was the runner up for Miss St. Patrick in Bay City. Carol loved her cat Hugo and had several pot bellied pigs that she raised and loved as pets.
She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and they all had a special place in her heart. She was not afraid to try new things and once walked across West Bay to Power Island one winter. Her family was near and dear to her and every three years all those who could would gather together for a family reunion.
This past July over 100 family members from all over the country joined together in Mt. Pleasant. She was especially happy to be able to attend this year and enjoy the company and fellowship.
She will be greatly missed. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Winston Robinson; siblings Dale, Dennis and Barbara; brother-in-law Mark Vermeesch and sister-in-law Lee Crosby.
