Carol Lee Kick January 12, 1938 – December 22, 2018 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Carol Lee Kick Carol Lee Kick, nee Oldfield, 80, of Elyria died peacefully December 22, 2018 at O’Neill Healthcare North Ridgeville. She was born January 12, 1938 in Elyria, Ohio and was a 1956 graduate of Elyria High School. She worked at the Elyria Board of Education until her retirement and was a member of the Elyria Eagles Auxiliary, the United Polish Club, and the Elyria Moose Club.

Her hobbies included travel, gardening, cooking, and attending to her cherished Rottweiler rescue dogs over the years. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends, to whom she always offered a listening ear, a warm hug and sincere generosity – she will be sorely missed by all. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of twenty seven years, David P. Kick, brothers Max L. Oldfield and Sheldon “Moe” Oldfield, and parents, Wayne G. and Joy V. Oldfield, nee Harding.

Carol is survived by son, Scott (Laura) Yakunovich of The Woodlands, Texas; daughter, Deb (Scott) Stanfield of Oberlin; grandchildren, Matthew Stanfield, Larissa, Vanessa and Natasha Yakunovich and Thayne Badgett; stepdaughter, Jennifer (John) McLandrich of Chagrin Falls, stepson, Jonathon (Jenny) Kick of Chardon; step-grandchildren Graham Richardson and Lauren and Dylan Kick; brother, Larry (Rose) Oldfield of Elyria; sister-in-law, Amanda Oldfield of Trenton, NJ and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff of O’Neill Healthcare for their attentive, loving care and comfort of their mother. Reverend Steve Pettry will conduct a memorial service Friday, January 4, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Animal Protective League, 8503 Murray Ridge Rd. , Elyria, OH 44035. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elyria.
