Carol Lee McNanny, age 78, of White Plains, Maryland died April 20, 2019 at her son’s home in La Plata, Maryland surrounded by family and friends. Carol was a loving and devoted mother who loved gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She was the daughter of Bennett Vance Gambrell and Vera Frances Gambrell.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Calvin Jack Wolf, Jr.; brother, William Bennett Gambrell; sisters, Mary Ann Fischer and Terry Harris. Carol is survived by her sons, Samuel David Wolf, William Eric Wolf (Gayle), and her daughter, Michelle Mattingly; grandsons, Daniel MacSorley (Becky), William Eric Wolf, Jr. (Cathy), and Cameron Mattingly; granddaughter, Kristen Mattingly; her sisters, Nancy Jones, Susan Sanders (Buddy), Delores Gambrell Butler, and Gene Haynes; ex-husband, Calvin Jack Wolf; special friend, Sandra MacSorley Smith. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 9:30AM until the time of Funeral Service at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Maryland. Interment will immediately follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens (3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Rd. , Waldorf, MD 20604).

Repass will follow at First Baptist Church of La Plata (9040 Hawthorne Rd. , La Plata, MD 20646). Memorial contributions in Carol’s name may be sent to Hospice of Charles County (2505 Davis Rd.
