Obituary for Carolyn Ann Lambert Carolyn Ann Womble Lambert was born November 12, 1945 and at the age of 16 married Charles Lambert on December 24, 1962. They had their first son, David Ray Lambert on that date one year later and their second son, Carl Duane Lambert nine years later on September 15, 1972. She was a loving mother.

She worked at 7-11 in Hanceville, AL took GED classes at Hayden School. She passed her GED and then worked at Golden Rod Chicken Plant in Cullman, AL where she then took night welding classes. Carolyn then went to work at Meadowcraft Manufacturing in Tarrant, AL.

After suffering from vision problems she went to work at Bama Foods as a line worker and later became disabled. She loved to cut grass and keep her yard up. Her favorite singer was Conway Twitty, Hello Darlin!

She loved Auburn football and always wanted a new truck with Auburn decals on it. She got it during her last year of life. Carolyn passed away on July 26, 2018 of bladder cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles Lambert; one son, David Lambert and daughter-in-law, Henrietta “Tinker” Lambert. She was preceded in death by her son, Carl Duane Lambert; parents, Ray and Adel Womble; and one brother, Randal Womble. Visitation will be Friday, August 3, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Zane Smith officiating. Burial to follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
