OBITUARY Roger Dale Henderson May 11, 1947 – July 11, 2018 Roger Dale Henderson, age 71 of Warrior, AL passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who was very much loved and will be missed. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired from the National Guard.

Mr. Henderson was a great carpenter and enjoyed woodwork. He retired from the Birmingham Board of Education. Mr. Henderson is survived by his children, sons, Roger Dale Henderson II (Mitzi) and Rodney Henderson; and his daughter, Julie McCay (Shane); sisters, Sandra Marsh (Donnie), Brenda Talley, Jan Neely (Jerry), Ramona Weldon (Pete), and Denise Wyatt (Glenn); grandchildren, Kyle McKinney (Brianna), Olivia Henderson, Joshua McCay, Lilian Henderson, Alyssa Henderson, and Isabella Henderson; great granddaughters, Emma McKinney and Stella McKinney; a great uncle, Elvin Williams (Sandy); nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Visitation will be Monday, July 16, 2018 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 10 until 11 AM. Graveside services with U.S. Army Military Honors will be held at Oakwood Memorial Gardens beginning at 11 AM.
