Obituary for Billy Wayne Washburn Billy Washburn went be with the Lord on Sunday, July 2, 2018 at age 79. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Pat Washburn; two daughters, Pamela (Ralph) Coston and Tammy (Robby) James; five grandchildren, Julie Coston (Micheal Tyler), Jesse (Jodie) Coston, Amy (Stefan) Barnette, Tiffany (Nathan) King, and Christopher James; four great grandchildren, Lexi Barnette, Aiden Coston, Jade Barnette, Aleigha Barnette; one great grandchild to arrive in October, Ellyaza King; brother, Glen (Betty Jo) Washburn; sister, Mary Ann (Butch) Howard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Billy proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church. He worked at Birmingham Stove and Range for over 30 years before retiring from American Marble. Billy was dearly loved by all who knew him.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home with a graveside to follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens at 11:15 a.m. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Billy Wayne Washburn please visit our Sympathy Store.
