Obituary for Mary Ann Nixon Mary Ann Nixon went to be with the Lord at age 84. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John Nixon; three children, Valerie (Jim) Hawk, Bruce R. Nixon, and Tim (Anne) Nixon; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary Ann is preceded in death by one son, John Cleveland Nixon, Jr. and one brother, Rudolph Smith.

She was a member of SmokeRise Baptist Church where she was very active in her Sunday School Class. She was Past Matron of the local Eastern Star. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home.
