OBITUARY GLENN M HUGHES October 1, 1939 – September 17, 2018 Glenn M. Hughes, age 78 of Tarrant was born Sunday, October 1, 1939 and passed away on Monday, September 18, 2018. Mr. Hughes was a loving family man who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and was retired from the steel industry.

He enjoyed buying, restoring, and selling antique cars and trucks, and loved watching his Crimson Tide football team play on TV. Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ida Hughes; three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hughes; son, Kirk Hughes and daughter, Lynan Hughes; step-sons, Richard Daw (Shirlene) and Donald Ray Daw; his step-daughter, Tracey Glass (Randy); grandchildren, Greg Daw and Chris Isbell; and a great grandchild, Zayne Isbell.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, September 20th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 to 8 pm followed by visitation (10 am-11 am) and services on Friday at 11 am at the Warrior Independent Church of God Church, 11075 US 31, Warrior, AL 35180. Interment will follow in Morris Cemetery in Morris, AL. Sister Donnie Glass will officiate.
